A member of the Syrian Parliament, known for his hot temper and sharp tongue, exploded one day in the morning session and began to shout, “Half of this Parliament is made up of stupid and corrupt politicians!”
All the other members of the Parliament demanded that the angry member withdraw his statement, or be removed from the remainder of the session.
After a long pause, the angry member said:
“OK,” he said, “I withdraw what I said. Half of this Parliament is NOT made up of stupid and corrupt politicians!”

One rainy evening during a violent thunderstorm a mother was tucking her small boy into bed.
She was about to turn off the light when he asked with a tremor in his voice, “Mother, will you sleep with me tonight?”
The mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug. “I can’t dear,” she said. “I have to sleep in your father’s room.”
A long silence was broken at last by a shaken little voice saying, “The big sissy.”

2. The little Boy was afraid to sleep alone, but when mother said she cannot sleep with him as she had to sleep with father, the little boy replied, the Big Sissy. – i.e a big sister (girl). – what he meant was; Father even though grow up as a man, cannot sleep alone due to fear like a fearful sister.
– that’s the innocence of a child.
