One day a Construction Company Manager went to the construction site to check on the work going on.
There was some problem in the 10th floor of the building so the manager wanted to call a labourer working on the Ground floor to fix it.
The Manager instead of going all the way down to the labourer decided to call him by shouting his name from 10th floor. Because of the noise the labourer could not hear the Manager’s call.
After some time the Manager thought of an idea. In order to draw the attention of the labourer he threw a $10 note in front of the labourer.
The labourer picked it up and put in his pocket and continued his work
Again the Manager threw $20 note and the labourer did the same thing. He took the note and put it in pocket and continued his work. Now the Manager picked up a stone and threw at the labourer and the stone hit the labourer.
This time the labourer looked up and the Manager succeeded in communicating with him.
There is a very important message that this simple story presents. It can be very well compared to our “LIFE”
Almighty God always wants to communicate with us, but we are busy with our worldly lives.
All the blessings/gifts that God gives us in this world we take them for granted. We just call ourselves lucky to have got those blessings and never thank God. Exactly like the Labourer in the Story.
And when we are afflicted with a little hardship (like the small stone in the story) we look up to seek God and try all the possible ways to communicate with Him.
Just think about this…
What if God decided not to listen to us? What if He said he has no time to listen to our prayers? What if God decided to withhold all the blessings we are receiving right now? Who would save us if He were to abandon us?
That’s why it is rightly said
God gives, gives and forgives
And man gets, gets and forgets
Moral: Don’t wait till you are hit by a stone. Invest your time in God, the rewards are huge
It’s a valuable massage to whome consider
Very good
o Allah forgive me if i whine.
Oh Allah forgive me if i whine.
True lesson for me. I never realized the bounties of Allah to me until I was hit with cancer a few days back. Thanks for the wonderful story.
Always remember Allah in peace, he will remember you in trouble.
It touched my soul
Hamdoulillah. Thanks God for everything.
The story is awesome. And. Sounds. Like true
Nicely explained. Thanks to God for everything and hamdoulillah
Be ever grateful to Allah for everything that you possess including your wealth, health, status, intellectual abilities and life.
This is the reality of life.
I’m thankful to Allah swt!
Always be thankful
Im Very thankful to Allah
I am thank full to ALLAH
Very nice and beuatiful as usual
A beautiful story reflecting the reality of life.
Exactly . we are not thanking Allah foe what He provide us, instead we are asking for more.
nice story
Very Good Story.
So very true. Should we wait to be hit by a stone. Hence do your Salahuddin irrespective of good or bad times.
Good story.
We have to be always thankful to Almighty ALLAH what he gives us. Right to see the people who are having lesser things rather than seeing the vice versa, then our life goes smooth and will be thankful to Almighty….
Good people are like precious metals, hardships gives them strength
ALLAH is the greatest of all. HIS doors are always open for us.
Absolutely
Nice share.. 🙂
very very nice story which has good lesson for.
I always thank God for putting me through all the hardships & for making me strong day by day, as I know the Almighty has plans for me, to reach out to the less fortunate humans & can know what they are going through, when they tell me their plight. If you ask God for strength, you get problems, by which you become strong.
Very true 🙂
Very nicely explained. 🙂
????
SubhanAllah Very True…
This is a very good lesson for Atheists especially. Most of the Atheists I have talked to say “Why is there crime, disease and illness in the World if you say God exists and how can you call such a God Most Merciful and loving ?”
I just don’t understand WHY these Atheists just don’t acknowledge the blessings God has given them ? They very easily blame God if something bad happens and if something good happens they just don’t ascribe it to God let alone be grateful to Him. ABSOLUTE HYPOCRISY !
True indeed, as Allah Almighy said in the holy Quran”we will give more to those whome thankfull”
