An Emperor had a minister in his court who used to always advice the Emperor not to be disheartened and always be positive no matter what the situation was and used to tell the Emperor everything that God does is perfect and best for us.
One day the minister accompanied the Emperor on a hunting trip into the forest. A Tiger attacked the Emperor and the minister managed to kill the Tiger and save the Emperor’s life, but couldn’t prevent the Emperor from losing one of his fingers. The Emperor with extreme anger and without any appreciation or thankfulness turned toward his minister and said, “You always tell me God is Great, He is Perfect, He can make no mistakes and that whatever He does is best for us, if that was really true I would not have been attacked in first place and lost my finger”. The minister replied, “In spite of what happened with you I still believe God is great, perfect and whatever He does is for our own good”. Outraged by the response, the Emperor ordered his soldiers to arrest the minister and put him in prison. While he was taken to the prison the ministered shouted, “God is GREAT God is PERFECT”.
Once again the Emperor set out for hunting into the forest alone this time and was captured by barbarians who had this tradition of giving human beings to their gods as sacrifice. They made the Emperor lie on the altar and made all preparations to sacrifice him when they noticed that one of the Emperor’s fingers was missing, so they released the Emperor as he was considered not complete to be offered to their gods.
The Emperor returned to his palace happy and ordered his minister to be released and said, “Indeed you were right, God was really good to me. I was almost killed, but because I had lost one finger I was saved and released.” The Emperor was still confused and asked the minister “If God is so good, why did He allow me to put you in the prison ? He could have easily saved you.” Minister replied, “My Majesty, if I had not been put in prison, I would have accompanied you today, and would have been sacrificed in your place as I have no missing finger. So everything God does is PLANNED, PERFECT and the BEST”.

God is really the Greatest, and patience is the best attribute one can be endowed with. May He grant us patience and strengthen our iman.
No doubt, it is faith and trust in God. Man Proposes, God Disposes. We always need fast food & instant results, but God gives in his time not ours.
very well said
All is good..whatever bad situations we go through, we have to learn to accept that as Allah always do good for his true slaves
There is no doubt that everything happens for us is something from God but we need to hold on faith and patience cause it might not reflect in our time but for sure it will lead us to a better way without our knowledge.
Very true May Allah guide us to the right path
This is a serious food for taught and good moral lesson
whatever happens, happens for good!
Truly a touching moral story to remember allah in all our doings.
“….it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know” Chapter 2 : Verse 216.
Indeed a powerful verse SubhanAllah
However I heard this story before, it is a very good story and has a meeningfull moral that God is great and whatever he does to any of his creatures is for his benefit.
