A Bath Shower That Changed My Life – True Story

I do get a lot of brainwaves & ideas when I am in the bathroom. I realized that I was not alone in such situation, some the greatest scientist and philosophers made their greatest discoveries in bathroom, most famous among them being Greek scholar Archimedis who ran out naked in his excitement of discovery.

My case of discovery may not be at his level and it didn’t result me coming out in my birthday suit, 🙂

Nevertheless, I thought I will share my musing with you, may be you will benefit or find it amusing.

I was taking shower today, just wondered that if the water in the overhead tank is just limited to one bucket and my tap is stuck in open position. That means that I have to take bath as fast as possible before the water runs out (assuming that I do not have bucket to store water).  So irrespective of how much I have to wash – only my body or even my hair, I have to do it in the limited time before the water runs out.

I wondered… my life is like this, the time I have is fixed like the water in overhead tank and it will keep running wheather I use it or waste like the water from stuck tap, it will keep flowing irrespective if I will wash my body or not. It  (time/water)  is limited and will get over soon. Only thing regarding life, I do not how much time is left like we do not know how much water is left in the overhead tank.

Did you ever think about life in such terms ? If you do so seriously, you will realise that you have much to do in life and we do not know when the overhead tank will finish. You will prioritize and work on the important stuff in life. You will never let a minute or even a second go waste.

Think about it ! Make change today! Make it Now!!!

Realise what is important for you and work on it & don’t waste a single moment.

“There are two things that people are not aware of
how important they are: health and time.”
“Take benefit of five before five:
your youth before your old age,
    your health before your sickness,
    your wealth before your poverty,
    your free-time before your preoccupation,
and your life before your death”.
    Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W.)

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who
    has failed a grade.
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who
has given birth to a pre-mature baby.
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask an editor of a
    weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage
labourer who has kids to feed.
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the bride who is
    waiting to meet her groom
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who
    has missed the train.
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who
    has avoided an accident.
To realize the value of ONE MILLI-SECOND, ask the
person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics.

It is rightly said that there are signs of understanding for the men of understanding. Like the example of bath shower, I read in another occasion that a scholar says that he learnt the importance of life/time from a ice seller. He calls the people to buy his ice as his capital is melting every second and if not capitalised it will end up with great loss. Does our life is not melting but hardly we realise!

    • Muhammad Ikram November 13, 2013 at 2:22 PM #

Marvelous example of life and I highly appreciate it. We must get benefit from each second, especially for the hereafter life, as our stay here in this world is like a transit passenger who is just waiting for his flight to his destination.

      Thanks and best regards.

      Muhammad Ikram
