Is your Eid like This?

I had two friends, Tamer and Shakir, and we were very close to each other, like three inseparable companions.

I did not have much money and when the day of Eid approached & my wife said to me, we can be patient at all times, but I cannot bear to see my children weeping and crying.

I feel as though my heart would break, when I see them in rags, while other children are buying new clothes and other fine things for Eid. If you could get me some money for Eid, I would sew new clothes for them.

I then wrote a letter to Tamer and told him all about my sad story. He sent me a sealed bag with one thousand Riyals and an important note. This note explained that I could use this money as I wished.

No sooner than I had thought about how I would use the money, I received a note from my friend, Shakir. In his note he told me about his story that he also desperately needed some money. And so I sent that same bag of money to him. I then went home and told my wife what I had done with the money. She was very happy that I had helped a friend in need.

As we sat talking to each other, Tamer came with the same bag that he had sent me three days before.

He said, Tell me the truth about this bag of money. How has it reached me again ?

I then explained to him how I had sent it to our Shakir friend.

He then said : When I received your note, I had nothing with me, except this bag, which I sent to you. But then I wrote to Shakir and asked him for help. I was surprised when he sent me my own sealed bag, which I had sent you. Ah, so now I have come to solve the mystery of the sealed bag !

Having read this I thought it was very informative. I
appreciate you finding the time and effort to put this
short article together. I once again find myself personally spending a lot of time both reading and leaving comments.
But so what, it was still worth it!

fulfilling basic needs of our parents, spouse and childern is our first duty. We can not under value the importance of Sunnat and Nafil but FARZ are always greater than SUNNAT and NAFIL in namaz…hope u understand.

Yes, if any of them was in need of money to meet some emergency like an accident or any other medical problem, then the situation will be different and we can compromise and educate our family members accordingly.

If i have 1000 Riyals for Eid shoping of my family and one of my friend will ask me to help him for the same purpose, i will cut my expense and will send him 500 Riyals…if i have 500 then i’ll send 250…i think its a better way.

U know what? for a story it is good to hear. But in reality it doesn’t make sense. As a muslim I STRONGLY believe in helping out others in need especially close friends and relative, BUT…….. U dont take ALL u have a give it to someone else. Anyway Eid Mubarak to all.

The pleasure of giving and sharing with the purpose of alleviating others misery even if it is at the cost of foregoing one’s own needs is the secret of true happiness. And as bonus you receive devine blessings.
