Amina pls. try to understand that this motivational story is just aimed at telling you how dear a son is to his mother, to an extent that if it cost her her EYES to confort him, she would be ready to go that extent. And it is real, i testify that my mom can go even beyond that….!

But I came to think something else from the story of Mothers Eyes:
What the son promised is duable/possible.
But what the mother replied as a solution is not possible, so it is just words without a prognosis this ever could happen (that the son could use his mothers eyes to could see again). It is typical mothers wish-thinking (of course out from love).
But in regard to truth/reality – which answer so is more comforting?
