Once upon a time two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an Argument, and one friend
slapped the other one on the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE .
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath.
The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?”
The other friend replied : “When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”
LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE!!!

I wish everyone could get a lesson out of this!
Salams Sara it’s really a wonderful story which everyone must practice coz we’re in an era where 4gveness is unknown and instead we’re bound in ego which is the end of all relationships.
Love all your works..
True words. Glad you like our posts. Thank you 🙂
This is good but not practical.
It’s very good if you give Practical lesson.
If we practice it is good and it is good to pactice.
what we do in life is exactly opposite to what that good friend did..its not fair..lets follow the good friend…
Salaam Sara,
This is another good story as always. Technically speaking, the bulk of our problems now is our inability to forgive. For all that have read this piece, I hope the moral of the story would translate and manifest in our daily lives.
Jazakallah.
This is a great lesson indeed, I pray to live by it
If you forgive others, Allaah will you.
To forgive is divine.
Thank you, a story with a great moral indeed.
‘The first one to apologize is the bravest, the first one to forgive is the strongest and the first one to forget is the happiest.’ always try to be the first as our beloved prophet PBUH said: It is not permissible for a Muslim to forsake his, (Muslim) brother beyond three days, and the one who’s better is who greets the other first.
if only one man on the earth is bad, that is me.
this should be the way of thinking for every individual. Islam taught us the same way…
We believe and we expect that All Mighty Allah will forgive our mistakes and our sins (InshaAllah) and we are not ready to forgive other’s mistakes…amazing.
two beautiful morals in a single day. GREAT.
i think the very good story for love & forgiveness.

Thanks for sharing
WoW!! That rele needs a ‘like’!! 😀
nice story… To choose to forgive when u can take revenge on someone who hurt u, is one of the greatest manners…. so forgive & u will be forgiven …. as u sow so shall u reap.
This is exactly what people should do, but rather practically its the other way, we always remember how and when we are hurt and forget about our good time.
Thanks for posting it Sara 🙂
Nice
really good story we must learn from it how to forgive each other & remember the goodness in the people not just their evil
and it’s a good example for the good friendship
Insult is difficult to forget but forgive.
Help (even small) always remember though easy to forget.
principle of everlasting friendship
