Once upon a time there was a guy. He got a task to climb over a coconut tree to bring the fruits (or juice). He had never climbed so high. So that day, his father also came with him. The son started climbing and the father was looking at him.
When son started climbing, father said nothing.
When son was half up, father said nothing.
When son was on top the of tree, still father said nothing.
The son got the fruit/juice, and started coming down. He was thinking –”It’s my first time ever and yet father is not saying/suggesting anything !” and so he was a bit disappointed.
When he got down half of the tree , still father didn’t say anything.
When he was just at 15 feet, his father said- “Son, be careful.”
Hearing this son became little angry. Though he came down safely. But he asked his father- “huh, Father ,when I started climbing, you said nothing, When I was on top, you said nothing, when I was in the middle while coming down, you said nothing…When I was just about to reach the ground—you said- “Be careful.” Why ??
Father explained-
“Son, when you started climbing, you were careful,
When you were on the top , you were careful that you are on the top and if you make any mistake you will fell.
When you were in the middle ,still you had some concentration.
But when you were just about to reach the ground , you were about to loose your concentration. So I reminded you to be careful.”
Moral:
Most of the mistakes happen, when we are about to reach the goal, we become careless or loose our concentration. We should not.
Be consistent……, until you get the goal+ 🙂
