Once a pious man saw a crab drowning in the river and decided to save it by pulling it off the water. Every time the man reached the crab to save it, it stung him and the man had to let go of the crab and it fell back into the water. This continued for quite a while.
A boy passing by approached the man trying to save the crab and said, “Excuse me Sir, why are you trying to save this harmful, vicious creature don’t you realize it’s hurting you each time you try to save it, just let go of it”
The man replied, “The nature of the crab is to sting and mine is to help. My nature will not change in helping the crab” . Having said that the man thought for a while and used a leaf from a nearby tree and pulled the crab out from the water and saved it.
Moral of the Story:
There are two things to learn from this story
1. Never give up on anything that you find difficult. If you tried something that didn’t work, try different ways. Keep trying until you succeed.
2. Do not change your nature just because someone hurts you with their words or actions. Let your conscience be your guide in whatever you do.
mashallah wonderful…got to learn something very beautiful…
