There was a king who decided to take a tour of his country. As he passed by different places, everyone rushed to see him. However, while passing by a certain place, he noticed a poor old man who did not pay any attention to the king’s arrival and remained engaged in his own activities.
The king went up to this poor man and asked why he did not join the people to see him.
The poor man replied, “Before you, there was another king who once passed by this place. Everyone gathered to see him as well. But, few days later he died and was buried in a place nearby. A poor man also died during that time and was buried near the king’s grave. After some time, a strong flood passed through that area causing those graves to overturn. As a result, the bones of the poor man became mixed up with those of the king’s. We could not differentiate between them any longer. After seeing this, it does not matter to me anymore as to who is a king and who is a beggar. In the end, our home is the same.”
Dear Reader, please give a fitting Moral to the story!!
Grave doesn’t distinguish between rich & poor. Only the deeds make a difference.
we should remeber and relaise the lifer hereafter, there is no difference after death, rich and poor both people are buried in same grave empty handed.
“Be content with what you are as ALLAH knows better”
it is your good or bad behaviour that lasts.
The story teaches that we should humble ourselves before God and man. May Allah give us the piety to live a godly life.
very true
Every one have to go from here.
Allah makes every one equal in this world so the poor man not called to be poor as he wants to live with dignity in this world
‘Everybody is a descendant from Adam and Adam is from Clay.’
Worldly ranks would not help at the end of the day unless the person had served God and humanity with undivided dedication.
Before Almighty Allah, all human beings are equal and would be judged in accordance with the Divine laws and directives.
It is a fact that everybody will pass the same way in his tour in life regardless wealth ,power…. etc ,So the poor old man realized this fact well ,therefore he was not interested in the superficial status .
justice and equality two values available only in death
we run after wealth, positon, king after kingdom and everything on the earth but never realise about life hereafter
Grave is the ultimate destination of all of us.
The moral of story ” the king and the poor man” should be ” equality is morality”
IMAN (believe and fear of GOD) matters and not worldly position. In the hereafter, we will all be judged by our deeds and not position
IMAN (fer matters not worldly position
Irrespective of position and status, all creatures have same colour of blood. Similarly once you are dead and burried or cremated, the earth and worms therein or fire doesn’t look at the status. As such treated similarly unless you are a pious person in the eyes of ALLAH SWT, then the earth and the worms treat your body differently.
Dear all,
That’s one realty of life. if u want to know the remaining facts of life, the universe and the destination of your life, you’ve no way except to ask your creator. For this go through the Qur’an to find all the facts.
Best wishes for all.
According to my understanding the moral could be as follows:
Regardless of the voyage every drop ends in the ocean.
We all been created from earth and returning back to it at some moment. So, our life is between two brackets (birth bracket and death bracket). You are rewarded or punished according to what you fill between brackets.
Anyone is evaluated; on the day of Judgement; by his/her piety and not
by his/her wealth, or power, or color.
I recommend to all friends to read some texts about ISLAM and its view to the life facts.
