Why Did He Throw The Brick?

Ahmed a young & successful businessman was traveling through his neighbourhood in Riyadh. He was going a bit too fast in his beautiful, black color BMW, which was only two months old. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no child darted out, but a brick sailed out and-WHUMP! — it smashed into the BMW’s shiny black side door! BRAKES SCREECHED…!!!!

Brakes slammed! Gears ground into reverse, and tires madly spun the BMW back to the spot from where the brick had been thrown. Ahmed jumped out of the car, grabbed the kid and pushed him up against a parked car. He shouted at the kid, “What was that all about and who are you? Just what do you think you are doing?!” Building up a head of steam, he went on. “That’s my new car, that brick you threw is gonna cost you a lot of money. Why did you throw it?”

“Please, sir, please …. I’m sorry! I didn’t know what else to do!” pleaded the youngster. “I threw the brick because no one else would stop!” Tears were dripping down the boy’s chin as he pointed around the parked car. “It’s my brother, mister,” he said. “He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can’t lift him up.” Sobbing, the boy asked the executive, “Would you please help me by getting him back into his wheelchair? He’s hurt and he’s too heavy for me.”

Moved beyond words, the young executive tried desperately to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. Straining, he lifted the young man back into the wheelchair and took out his handkerchief and wiped the scrapes and cuts, checked to see that everything was going to be OK. He then watched, as the younger brother push him down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long walk back to his black BMW – a long and slow walk. Ahmed never did fix the dented side door of his BMW. He kept the dent to remind him not to go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at him to get his attention….. Some bricks are softer than others. Feel for the bricks of life that are coming at/to you.

Dear Readers, suggest a beautiful moral to the story in the comments section below.

if you keep acting normal, you may never get attention, its time to do that awkward thing to let someone; i mean the world hear your voice. that’s moral of the story

Though it has a good moral… Story is not appreciatble.
The cause is good but the way it achieved is not worthy to do so.

Moral is in the race for gain people have stopped thinking of those who cannot even stand where as our Creator assigned us the job of looking after a needy.
“Stop! Help some one your own benefit”

I can understand that he couldnt rule out any – such – act to help his brother out. There are four blocks of attitude that every person belongs to at least one of which, or to combination of two ”blocks”. The blocks are known by BLUE, YELLOW, GREEN and RED colors. This lad belongs to red which means not afraid to go for any such act that may or may not would have helped him (but it did, according to the story).

“Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.”
    ? Martin Luther King Jr.

Truth – such executives are exeptional esp. nowadays!

You people should know that this isn’t a real life story but essentially meant to teach us one or two things in life. And that has been achieved as far as I am concern. Weldone Sara keep it up do not be discouraged please

If everybody traces this style of attention dragging, suppose what sure for us that tomorrow the same child may not use gun against anyone to get an immediate attention?!

Please note, this criminal style must be wiped out from our children. It is not to be appreciated at all. Because is not it contemptible to be common this kind of barbarian attitude among students, children in a great country like Saudi Arabia?

Though the story says a lesson of morality, on the other hand it promotes the harassment in more extent.
