Young KSA Guy (Abdullah) was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom The 
monarch could have killed him but was moved by Abdullah’s youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Abdullah would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.
The question?…What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Abdullah it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch’s proposition to have an answer by year’s end. He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.
Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer. But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.
The last day of the year arrived and Abdullah had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first. The old witch wanted to marry Zain, the most handsome man in the country and Abdullah’s closest friend!
Young Abdullah was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Zain, learning of the proposal, spoke with Abdullah.
He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Abdullah’s life.
Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Abdullah’s question thus:”What a woman really wants, she answered…...is to be in charge of her own life.”
Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Abdullah’s life would be spared. And so it was, the neighbouring monarch granted Abdullah his freedom and Zain and the witch had a wonderful wedding.
The honeymoon hour approached and Zain, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen was in his room. The astounded Zain asked what had happened.The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.
Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day….or night?
Zain pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman with him?

Noble Zain said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.
*Now….what is the moral to this story?*
The moral is…..
If you don’t let a woman have her own way, things are going to get ugly.
There is no HIS WAY OR HER WAY. There is only one way of life that is the RIGHT WAY OF LIFE. If he is following it then she must follow him and if she is following it then he must follow her. That is the most stable and safe path with zero chance of disaster. Any views of male domination can be disastrous without fulfilling the criteria of being on THE RIGHT WAY OF LIFE.
Right way of life is (1) Staying faithful, loyal, truthful, with spirit of sacrifice, respect, human dignity, concentrating on obligations only forgetting rights, keeping partner first and exercise restraints and tolerance in all adverse conditions.
What emerges then out of such a relationship is a MIRACLE. Nobody on earth can shake such a relationship.
The moral of the story is that if you don’t let the woman to be herself she will turn to a witch.

This applies to women not in Islam. Eventhough some claiming muslim women do go out on their own way.
Without any prejudice , I don’t agree with the moral of the story because in many situations we just cant let the woman to decide. We have experienced numerous families have totally been disintegrated and destroyed where womens have been given free hands.However there are certain areas where we should give liberty to women such as her dressing within certain parameters, kitchen management etc.To give a sense of participation as well as the ownership we can take her advice /opinion on the critical matters before taking any decision so that she make a sense of ownership.

the woman is not a creature inferior to man . on the contrary they are resourceful , brilliant , have abilities most men don’t have .they are mature enough to take control of their lives . after all they are our mothers , wives,daughters and the bright side of life.

Even if the woman becomes in charge of her own life, she will still look for a man to blame him for her misfortunes. . To be in charge of your own life means you should accept the consequences and take responsibility for your actions. This, unfortunately, is not among women'[s personal traits!

It is a very valuable lesson! On the one hand it is the story of the need for a woman to be in charge of her own life and destiny. It emphasises the need to be patient and give others the chance to make decisions concerning their own life, as long as it is the right one and it makes you happy. On the other, it tells of the need to eschew the habit of looking at the external beauty of people as a replica of who they are and wanting to show them off to friends.
It is a really valuable lesson with a subtle approach and story.

The story is very meaningful but it is against the teaching of Islam or shall I say (Islamic tradition), for example a lady will marry to anyone but must father accept him, she can work but limited and she cannot in some countries, she cannot go without guardian aboard or even to market… she is limited in a lot of activities …I donot Know is this religion or tradition.. That is another case … but sure your story could be very offensive to some people … anyway good well is always your target….
