Do You Want To Become Big?

There was this man who met great people including actors, businessmen, socialists , lawyers and many more. Whenever he met them he would say a statement at the end of a meeting to all of them , ” Your a big man , your so lucky man.”

Now these guys used to get irritated as you must have guessed , because they worked hard but their success was instead misinterpreted with luck. Be it Messi, Dhirubhai Ambani, Bill Gates or Usain Bolt.

One day this man had an opportunity to meet a winner from Paralympics and interview that person. At the end of the meeting he said his usual nonchalant statement. Now this time this individual thought ,”Really?” to himself.

The winner now took on this man really with passion and adrenaline pumped up,
“Ya in fact I’m lucky to be disabled.”
“I don’t have legs which function normally like yours.”
” I hated being like this until I loved myself.”
“I was looked down upon , though I had confidence.”
“I was made fun off.”
” I was disowned by my parents.”
“I was a bankrupt.”
“No girl ever even liked seeing me.”
“I was broke.”
Then came the moment this man who had called him lucky said,”This is just unlucky man!! I get your point.I am sorry.”

This winner replied ” Hey I was lucky , you were not wrong. This the reason I started practising for this sport, to prove myself, to see if there was anything in me which was worthy of being appreciated.”

Then this paraolympian said,” I was just giving the reasons for me being lucky. I wanted to justify your statement and show you what luck really is.”

He then continued, ” I used to work a lot . I used to do utensils. Go to the city library to help them. I did babysitting. I painted walls and a lot of work of different kind just to make money enough to survive a day and pay for my coaching. ”
“Then came a day when the coach said that he did not need money from me and some people came together to give me financial help at least till the Olympics. They said they had never seen passion like this. I then thought I have to win for myself and them , for their trust.”
” What is this if not luck??!!!”

“It’s just that luck developed gradually. It wasn’t there initially. I started small , worked, gruelled and then made it big. So you see luck is like a diamond, you have to mine it out, then you need to sharpen it and that’s it.

So want to be big? Start small. Be lucky!!!
