The Umrah Trip in Ramadan – True Story

OLD-MAN-IN-WHEELCHAIRIt is said that whatever good u do will come back to you

This is a true incident which happened with me when I was in Haram, Makkah.

It happened during this Ramadan when I had gone to Makkah for doing Umrah.

The Umrah proceedings were done peacefully and the next day I was in the masjid al Haram worshiping and doing dua.

As the time of Maghrib came near I went for doing wudu(ablution) for prayer. And there I saw a huge crowd and people in the queue waiting for their turn to do wudu.

When my turn came and I started to do wudu quickly and almost completed. But washing my legs was still left as the washbasin was very high and I was supposed to take the water in 3-4 glasses and wash my legs to complete my wudu. And I saw that the guy in front of me was filling his water bottle, so I waited for him to finish. As soon as he finished to my great surprise he handed me the water bottle with a gentle smile and indicated me to wash my legs with it.

I was amazed at his kind gesture specially at a time when everyone is running to complete their wudu and find a space inside the mosque. I thanked him profusely and completed my wudu.

As I was moving away from the ablution area, I saw an old man sitting in wheelchair and waiting  in the queue for his turn to come.

I felt pity for him and remembered Allah’s favor upon me that He gave me legs to walk.

I got an inner feeling that I should be thankful to Allah and help those who are disabled. So I again went into the queue to arrange water for that old man in the wheelchair, to do his wudu. And as I was helping the old man do his wudu on the wheelchair, another man just completed his wudu and came to see the old man.

To my astonishment this man was none other than the one who had helped me complete my wudu by providing the water bottle. And then I found out that he was the relative of the old man on the wheelchair.

Then and there I realized how True is the saying that whatever good you do will always come back in some other form.

Moral of the Story

What Goes around Comes Around.

Keep doing good things to help others. In return God will reward you with good.

This is a lesson for all to learn. Is always good to be good. By being good one will certainly be doing good and in return Allah will reward him good.
