The Pregnant Deer – An Awesome Inspirational Story !

pregnant deerIn a Jungle, a pregnant deer is about to give birth.
She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river.
This seems a safe place.
Suddenly labour pains begin.

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.
She looks to her left and sees a hunter with his arrow extended pointing at her.
To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.

What can the pregnant deer do?
She is in labour!

What will happen?
Will the deer survive?
Will she give birth to a fawn?
Will the fawn survive?
Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?
Will she perish to the hunters’ arrow?
Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.
What does she do?

She focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are:

– Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.
– He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.
– It starts to rain heavily, and the forest fire is slowly put out by the rain.
– The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

Moral of the Story

In our life too, there are MOMENTS of CHOICE when we all have to deal with negative thoughts and possibilities from all sides. Some thoughts are so powerful they overcome and overwhelm us and make us clueless.

Maybe we can learn from the deer.
The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.

The rest was not in her hands and any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Ask yourself,
Where is your focus?
Where is your faith and hope?

In the midst of any storm, do keep it on God always.
He will NEVER ever disappoint you.

Remember, GOD neither slumbers nor sleeps. He is the All-Knowing All-Wise.

Just persevere during trials by putting all your trust in Almighty God and know that you are being tested.

After every Hardship comes ease !

No doubt this was a difficult choice for the deer to give birth to her fawn, as she had no other choice. As rightly said by one of the responder below, the deer decided so in her own wisdom, but we don’t know the reason. However, if we read Qur’an with meaning it is full with the events show the prophets’ and their true followers’ reliance on Allah, while going through various trials and oppressions from the disbelievers. To quote here is the example of Prophet Mohammed Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH); on the night of migration from Macca to Madinah, his house was surrounded by the enemies, with a plan to attack and kill him, when he comes out of His (PBUH) house for the morning praryer. But Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on the order of Allah, just walked out between his enemies and they could not see Him (PBUH). Another event as narrated in the Qur’an is Prophet Mousa’s mother when she put her new-born in a basket and let it float in the river. This was the most horrible / awful act one can expect from a mother. However, she didn’t have a choice except to do that, in a bit to save Mousa (PBUH), from the people of Pherro, who ordered his people to kill every newborn male bab in the Bani Israel. While doing so the Mosa’s (PBUH) mother has a full trust in Allah. And, Allah didn’t disappoint her. Mosa (PBUH) endedup in the Pherro’s palace and so His mother, without knowing who is She? Ferroh appointed her as His (PBUH) Foster mother; WA MAKARO W’A MAKRULLAH WALLAHU KHAIRUL M’AKEREEN” They were planning and Allah was also planning and Allah is the best Planner.

HE who decides it all; decided that this deer must live.
It is however a natural source of food put here by HIM for both the man and the lion. So it would have been a natural thing for either the man or the lion to have had the deer. HE decided against it in his wisdom. also HE is the only one who knows why in this case (as in all cases).

God keeps watch on all of us & helps us in hard times, but, we humans, create all the negative things by our ownselves & blame Gof when the consequences unfold, moreover, we should never take God’s name in vain, but speak by our actions.

Sara firstly, Alhamdulillah that Allah made me read this beautiful story. Secondly, thank u my friend for posting such an amazing story. I am overwhelmed. This is why our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned to care for a mother. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned it thrice. May Allah let us follow Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) holy advice.
