      1. You can subtract 3 exactly 33 times from 100 since 3X33=99.
      2. Let the cost of the shirt be x, then the cost of pant is 1+x.
      Now, the total cost of Both is x+(1+x)=1+2x=1.1 pounds,
      So, x=0.05 pounds.
      3. Police don’t arrest a Soldier who is fighting the Enemy.

        Answer 1: ONCE. Because first you subtract 3 from 100, then you subtract 3 from 97 and then from 94 and so on

          Okey. But from Mathematician’s points of view, division is defined by how many times you can subtract a number, The result of 100/3 is how many times you can subtract 3 from hundred to be zero or close to zero.

          Your Answer is essentially Unsatisfying for Me. The Question should have been clearer.
