Many people who had not seen this sort of Video think that the tsunami is a huge wave several meters or storeys high which befall the seaboard. In fact it is more of an inflation of the water mass which then relentlessly flows inland. We did ‘feel’ some of it after the Banda Ahce one. I happened to be swimming at the time. The water went away to much lower than low tide and came back (without real force) to much higher than high tide. There was a little flooding here in the south. It was scary.
