Did you see God?

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children.

The teacher asked a little boy: Kevin do you see the tree outside?

Kevin: Yes.

TEACHER: Kevin, do you see the grass outside?

Kevin: Yes.

TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.

Kevin: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.

TEACHER: Did you see God?

Kevin: No.

TEACHER: That’s my point. We can’t see God because he isn’t there. He doesn’t exist.

A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions…..

The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy: Kevin, do you see the tree outside?

Kevin: Yes.

LITTLE GIRL: Kevin do you see the grass outside?

Kevin: Yessssss (getting tired of the questions by this time).

LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?

Kevin: Yessssss

LITTLE GIRL: Kevin, do you see the teacher?

Kevin: Yes

LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?

Kevin: No

LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught today in school, she must not have one!

I am also reminded of the story how little children were indoctrinated in Communist regimes. The teacher would ask them to pray to God for a chocolate. Obviously no chocolates would appear – for the days of “Manna & Salwa” are gone!!!!

Then the teacher would ask the children to close their eyes and pray to the Soviet Leader. And she would then place a chocolate on the desk of the children. See, she would say, there is no God to give you anything!

And now with the collapse of Communist Russia, more and more Churches and Mosques are being built than they, the commies, could destroy in their 70 year-rule!!!!!

  2. Zafar Iqbal September 29, 2012 at 7:36 PM #

And I will recommend the book, “The God That Failed” written by eminent ex-Communists, for all who may interested in reading.

Though I do not wish for a uni-polar world, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, for the Satanic United States has become all the more powerful!!!!

Even the comment by Khalil al Hooti is very nice.

But, Sorry, Muslimarab 1990!!! You are right in the way you are defending Islam! But then that is not the topic! And everyone will say my religion is the best! To that our answer is NOT to fight, but LAKUM-DEEN-AKUM-WALAY-YADEEN.

And, May Allah Bless you, Adam…..

    My word. Allah be praised.

Is Emad_Hashem a PhD on the Holy Quran? What a great philosopher!!!! And how well has he explained this! How lucid is his language? How clear his logic and how great are his arguments in favour of Allah.

Really, Sara you should publish some such works!!!!!

    • Paras September 30, 2012 at 5:05 PM #

Emad’s work looks like a cut and paste job. If it was his original, he would not have wrongly translated the “Ahumma Agithnaa” as “O Allah send us rain”. The closing line invite its readers to do “Dawa work” which is not the topic of this thread. Why has he quoted Shk. Uthaymee only not any other scholar or…… Prophet (pbuh).

  5. Zafar Iqbal September 29, 2012 at 6:43 PM #

Wow! What a clever little girl!!!!

And look at the comments. Must read them again and again. Ian’s and Abdullah’s are truly great.

Will come back to you, after offering my Maghrib Prayers!

You see! I don’t have to see Allah to know that it is prayer time!!!!!!!

A similar one and funny tooooo

There was a young man who went overseas to study for quite a long time. When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious scholar or any expert who could answer his Three Questions.

Finally, his parents were able to find a Muslim scholar.

“Who are you? Can you answer my questions?,” asked the young man

“I am one of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)’s slaves and Insha’Allah (God willing), I will be able to answer your questions,” replied the Scholar.

“Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able to answer my questions,” replied the young boy

“I will try my best, with the help of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)”

“I have 3 questions,” began the boy

    1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.

    2. What is takdir (fate)?

If shaitan (Devil) was created from the fire, why at the end he will be thrown to hell that is also created from fire. It certainly will not hurt him at all, since Shaitan (Devil) and the hell were created from fire. Did God not think of it this far?

Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man’s face very hard!

The young man, who was shocked and hurt by the slap became confused, “Why are you angry at me?” he asked

“I am not angry,” answered the scholar, “The slap is my answer to your three questions.”

“I really don’t understand,” the young man said. He was really confused.

The scholar began to explain, “How did you feel after I slapped you?,” he asked

“Of course, I felt the pain. it hurt,” he replied

“So do you believe that pain exists?” the scholar asked

    “Yes.”

“Now Show me the shape of the pain!” said the wise Scholar

“I cannot,” the young man replied

“That is my first answer. All of us feel God’s existence without being able to see His shape… Last night, did you dream that you will be slapped by me?,” the ascholar replied

    “No”

“Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me, today?,” the scholar continued

    “No.”

“That is takdir (fate)……..” The scholar continued, “My hand that I used to slap you, what is it created from?”

“It is created from flesh,” replied the young man

“How about your face, what is it created from?”

“Flesh, as well” replied the young man

“How did you feel after I slapped you?”

    “In pain.”

“Even though Shaitan (satan) and Jahunnum (Hell-fire) were created from fire, if Allah wants, insha’Allah (God willing), the Hell-fire will become a very painful place for Shaitan (Devil)” ended the wise Scholar.

The wise Scholar had answered all three of the tough questions by one slap.

Sorry SARA , I used a lot of ur comment area.

  15. Abdullah July 21, 2011 at 2:21 PM #

Allah is too close to us, but we are far
    away from Him. Here is the explanation;
Think about the sun. The sun is so close to us that if you take a mirror you
can say that the sun is in my hand. Again the sun is so close to us (with its
heat) that you feel it in all of your cells in summer. Shortly, the sun is very
close to us with its heat and light. But we are far away from it (about 150 000
000 km). In the same way Allah is very close to us with His Knowledge, Mercy
etc., but (personally) we are far away from Him.
In a Qudsi Hadith, Allah says that: “O Muhammad (PBUH), I am so great that I
can’t go into the world (personally). I can’t even go into the whole universe
(personally). But you can find me in the heart of a Mu’min (believer).” (the
translation is terrible, but you can understand what is meant)

Allah is everywhere at the same time. You
can find Him in the heart of every Mu’min at the same moment. Being in one
place doesn’t prevent Him from being in another place as well as in some other
    places. Here is the explanation;

If you hold a mirror, you can say that the
sun is in my hand. At the same time, if I hold a mirror, I can say that at the
same time the sun is in my hand. Again at the same time, you can find the sun
in every drops of water (or any other liquid) on the Earth at the same time. That
doesn’t mean that the sun personally and physically is inside those droplets,
but with its light and heat. Being in a droplet doesn’t prevent the sun from
being in another droplet. In the same way, if the sun, which is one of Allah’s
creatures is able to be in thousands, or in millions places at the same time,
then one can easily understand that it is also possible for Allah to be EVERYWHERE
at the same time. (For physicists, just consider what can one do if he was one
    dimension above ours…)

  16. Abdullah July 21, 2011 at 1:42 PM #

    Hello dear brothers and sisters

All beings say “In the Name of God” through the tongue
    of disposition. Is that so?

Indeed, it is so. If you were to see that a single
person had come and had driven all the inhabitants of a town to a place by
force and compelled them to work, you would be certain that he had not acted in
his own name and through his own power, but was a soldier, acting in the name
of the government and relying on the power of the king.

In the same way, all things act in the name of
Almighty God, for minute things like seeds and grains bear huge trees on their
heads; they raise loads like mountains. That means all trees say: “In the Name
of God,” fill their hands from the treasury of mercy, and offer them to us. All
gardens say: “In the Name of God,” and become cauldrons from the kitchens of
Divine power in which are cooked numerous varieties of different foods. All
blessed animals like cows, camels, sheep, and goats, say: “In the Name of God,”
and produce springs of milk from the abundance of mercy, offering us a most
delicate and pure food like the water of life in the name of the Provider. The
roots and rootlets, soft as silk, of plants, trees, and grasses say: “In the
Name of God,” and pierce and pass through hard rock and earth.

    Mentioning
the name of God, the name of the Most Merciful, everything becomes subjected to
them. The roots spreading through hard rock and earth and producing fruits as
easily as the branches spread through the air and produce fruits, and the
delicate green leaves retaining their moisture for months in the face of
extreme heat, deal a slap in the mouths of Naturalists and jab a finger in
their blind eyes, saying: “Even heat and hardness, in which you most trust, are
under a command. For like the Staff of Moses, each of those silken rootlets
conform to the command of, And We said, O Moses, strike the rock with your
    staff, (Qur’an,
2:60) and split the rock. And the delicate leaves fine as
cigarette paper recite the verse, O fire be coolness and peace (Qur’an,
    21:69)
against the heat of the fire, each like the members of Abraham (UWP).

With regard to proof of the existence of Allaah, it is obvious to anyone who ponders the matter, and there is no need for a lengthy discussion. When we ponder the matter, we find out that it is divided into three categories: instinctive evidence, tangible evidence and shar’i evidence. We will explain that to you further, in sha Allaah. 1 – Instinctive evidence: Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said: The instinctive evidence that God exists is the strongest of all evidence for those who are not led astray by the devils. Hence Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “So set you (O Muhammad) your face towards the religion (of pure Islamic Monotheism) Haneef (worship none but Allaah Alone). Allaah’s Fitrah (i.e. Allaah’s Islamic Monotheism) with which He has created mankind” [al-Room 30:30] Man’s sound nature (fitrah) testifies to the existence of God and man cannot turn away from that unless the devils mislead him; whoever is misled by the devils may not recognize this evidence.” (From Sharh al-Safaareeniyyah) Every person feels inside himself that he has a Lord and Creator, and he feels that he is in need of Him; if some major calamity befalls him he turns his hands, eyes and heart towards the heavens, seeking help from his Lord. 2 – Tangible evidence: This refers to the things that exist in this universe; we see around us things that exist, such as trees, rocks, mankind, the earth, the heavens, seas, rivers… If it is asked: these things are so many – who created them and is taking care of them? The answer is that if these things came into being by accident, spontaneously and with no cause, then there is no one who knows how they were created, and that is one possibility. But there is another possibility, which is that these things created themselves and are taking care of themselves. And there is a third possibility, which is that there is Someone Who created them. When we look at these three possibilities, we find that the first and the second are impossible. If we reject the first and the second, then the third must be the one which is correct, which is that these things have a Creator who created them, and that Creator is Allaah. This is what is stated in the Qur’aan, where Allaah says: “Were they created by nothing? Or were they themselves the creators?Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief” [al-Toor 52:35] Moreover, when were these mighty things created? For all these years, who is it that has decreed that they should remain in this world and has granted them the means of abiding? The answer is, it is Allaah who has given to each thing that which is suited to it and will guarantee its survival. Do you not see the beautiful green plants; when Allaah cuts off their water supply, can they live? No, rather they become dry stalks. If you ponder all things you will find that they are dependent upon Allaah. Were it not for Allaah, nothing would remain. And Allaah has created everything to do that for which it is suited. So camels, for example, are for riding. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Do they not see that We have created for them of what Our Hands have created, the cattle, so that they are their owners. And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat” [Yaa-Seen 36:71-72]Look at the camel and how Allaah has created it strong, with a strong back, so that it can be used for riding and it is able to endure harsh conditions which other animals cannot bear.If you look at other creatures you will find that they are suited to the purposes for which they were created. Glory be to Allaah.Examples of tangible evidence include the following: When calamities befall people this points to the existence of the Creator, for example, when they call upon Allaah and Allaah responds to their prayer; this points to the existence of Allaah. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said: “When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed for rain, he said, ‘Allaahumma aghithnaa, Allaahumma aghithnaa (O Allaah, send us rain, O Allaah, send us rain).’ Then a cloud came and it started to rain before he had even come down from the minbar. This points to the existence of the Creator.” (Sharh al-Safaareeniyyah).3 – Shar’i evidence:All divinely-revealed laws point to existence of Allaah. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said:“All the divinely-revealed laws point to the existence of the Creator and to the perfect nature of His knowledge, wisdom and mercy, because these laws must have been prescribed by someone, and that Lawgiver is Allaah.” (From Sharh al-Safaareeniyyah).With regard to your question: why did Allaah create us?The answer is: so that we would worship Him, thank Him and remember Him, and do that which He has commanded us. You know that among mankind there are kaafirs and there are Muslims. This is because Allaah wants to test His slaves as to whether they will worship Him or worship others. That is after Allaah has showed the way to everyone. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):“Who has created death and life that He may test you which of you is best in deed” [al-Mulk 67:2]“And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)” [al-Dhaariyaat 51:56]We ask Allaah to enable us and you to do that which He loves and is pleased with, and to do more da’wah and work for the sake of His religion. May Allaah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.

according to newton second law of motion every action has a reaction equal in magnitude opposite in direction and we know that every thing in the universe is in a continous motion all this motion are reactions of another action which in turn is a reaction of some action and so on

using mathemetical induction we conclude that the first action of them all must be caused by a created force
    created by some god

here is another story.. one day an atheist was having a dialogue with some beliver when they was walking nearby a river. the atheist was saying that whole universe came into being without any intervention from someone and it was created by itself. the beliver after a while wanted to cross the river. he sit down by river bank without doing anything. the athesit asked him how you will cross the river. the beliver replayed, ” i will wait for tree truncks to be cut and a boat is made by them. the athesit said to him” are you kidding’ this is impossible!!”. the beliver replayed” the same way the univers must have been created by someone very mighty in power. it is impossible that it came into being by a mere chance.

Our knowledge of God isn’t measured by the things we can see with our eyes, it is also measured by those we do not see but believe. It only shows the miracles that is inherent in the unseen and importantly in little children. We learn a lot from them if only we have the patience to look and listen a little further and a little longer.

Dear joy, please don’t bring religion in to the discussions. Allah is Arabic word of god. God is everywhere within us and around us. We have to bring those god qualities from within us. God is not sitting somewhere and seeing this world. It is called cosmic consciousness which is responsible for the orderliness of the things happening in the world. First educate yourself than write. Ancient Indian books are the good source of knowledge. Grow up man. Saying only we are right and our religion is true religion is not right and lead to quarrels.

that is amusing…if God is in everyone of us and everything, why do ppl do bad? why aren’t ppl naturally good…and aviod doing wrong? ppl may look at the order in nature, and in the entire universe and see evidence of the creation of God with in these things, for example, u may learn about the complexity within the cells of human being, or the order in the harvesting light systems in plants, and become fascinated…u might think, God created this for sure, and it can’t just come to existence just like that without a God,

but u have no evidence that God is in the tree? why does god have to place him self in a tree? or in the faulty human being? God is only fit to be above all, abve the world, and above the universe, He is the King, the Magestic, the Magnificent. And yet, he knows all that happens and will happen, He knows each of our futures and pasts, he is aware even of every leaf that falls from every tree….and of even a dark ant, on a dark rock, in the darkest of nights

God is closer to us, even than our jugular vein, and yet he does not have to be inside us for him to be so close…He knows us, more than we can ever know our own selves, but that doesn’t mean He is physically within us….spiritually, maybe, but physicially- no

So sorry, I disagree with how you think, I will not tell you that my religion is the best, but i hope one day you will find out on your own, like the many individuals, who have tried the indian beliefs and left it ….for my religion…

        Peace.

        Dear guest;
While appreciating your efforts to avoid “quarrels” by avoiding or possibly limiting the wide gap between people, I strongly disagree with your characterization of GOD* just to make people happy. How do you think that GOD, not to confuse with god, can be within and around someone? Think of His characters and nature, His abilities and wisdom,…He is Ever Most High, Most Great. He is Glorious to be associated or to have any of the Characters human beings are having. But He is always there (above us) in a most suitable way for Him and controls the matters in the heaven and earth.

Therefore, God does not exisit in anybody or something, to think like that is not only to be naive but also it is to denounce the very nature of God and His unique qualities that make Him completely different from His creations! But be aware that He is with (not within) all of us and around us with His Knowledge, Guidance, Mercy,…etc and no body can escape whatsover from Him. This is quite different from your assuption.

Regarding religion, I am really annoied when people say, “do not say my religion is the only right…and others are not.” No one on earth like to be belitteled. But also…it should be duty of everyone to teach the reality for there are some people who did not hear it. I am saying here that just because I stop saying ISLAM is the only right religion could not prevent the reality i.e. my silence may not change the fact that there is only one way to Heavens and it is ISLAM. But I distance my self from forcing anyone to accept ISLAM as the way of life; because everyone of us has the right to choose what we believe in and the way we should live.

Bottom line: There is no god but GOD and Muhammad is the messenger of GOD!

        _______________________________________________________

*The term GOD does not really represent the word ALLAH which is absolutely unique. For example, you can say “son of GOD” which might be accepted to many people. But it is absolutely nonsense whatsoever to say “son of ALLAH” because the true natuer of ALLAH is that He is far from having any charcters of His creations. Hence the word ALLAH (whether we use it in English or Arabic) is preferred to the word GOD unless we are talking to very new people to concept of GOD…then we can latter clarify.

        Saying only we are
right and our religion is true religion is not right and lead to
        quarrels.

        But then you suggest :

Ancient Indian books are the good source of knowledge.

Why you have such double standard?

When a person is able to stand on his one foot,he thinks he is all in all,but when lifts second one, fells down and comes to know his status.
