Do You Know The Secret of Living Together?

The winter was  one of the coldest ever. Most of the animals couldn’t survive the cold and had died.

But only one kind of animals, the porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions.

After a while, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen.

So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth.

Wisely, they decided to go back to being together. They learned to live with the little wounds caused by the close relationship with their companions in order to receive the heat that came from the others. This way they were able to survive.

Moral: The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person’s good qualities.

Thanks, Sarah. It’s not always easy living together but there’re somethings of great benefits that God has ordained for us through one another. So we must learn to live with each other. On a more general term God in the holy Qur’an says ‘You’ve been made into different tribes and nations so that you may know one another’. I guess you get to know one another by living with each other one way or another.

Nice one. In Islam one of the fundamental teachings are, not to totally break the relations with your relatives, friends & also neighbours.
