the answer is very simple: what is left is “an Mango” which is different from “a Mango” which means in the basket there was 6 Mangoes and an Mango, the 6 Mangoes were distributed and an Mango was left!!!

There are six friends, the friend who has distributed mangoes to other friends has to take one for himself. That is why one mango remains in the basket.
Mangoes in Basket = 6
Mango in distributor’s hand = 1
Total Mangoes = 7
6 Mangoes were in Basket. 1 Mango was on the distributor’s hand. When he started distribution, he gave the first one in hand. Now remaining just 5 friends and 6 Mangoes.
It is not a same basket OR out of one must be a fool.

Somebody could not count, there had to seven mangos in the basket
Last mango left is yours in the basket because you are total six friends including yourself. Last mango is big and fully ripe, you know it why.
One of the six friends already had a mango. So only 5 were distributed, and therefore, one was left in the basket.
You was one of them & you refused to eat.
We are in total 6 friends (incl. me), gave 5 mangoes to 5 friends and the last one left in the bucket was for me.
Bcoz give each friend 1 mango…1 mango means 1 mango to 6 friend, that means 5 remaining in the basket.
I would make milk shake of 5mangos and distribute it to 5people and leave one mango for me????
