(3*3*8)/3

2. Shakeel Ahmad Anjum August 21, 2012 at 5:03 PM #

8 / [3 – (8/3) ]
Nothing suits better than that

• ESMAT September 3, 2012 at 5:37 PM #

VERY GOOD

• Adeel Nayyer December 9, 2012 at 4:16 PM #

It doesn’t suit but it is the only answer. 😀

8 / ( 3 – 8 / 3 )

Taking LCM
= 8 / ( ( 9 – 8 ) / 3 )
= 8 / ( 1 / 3 )
= 8 * 3
= 24

3. Ejaz August 13, 2012 at 7:14 PM #

8/3*8+3=24.333

4. Zafar Malik August 12, 2012 at 7:24 PM #

As no other numerical can be used except the given ones and furthermore all these 4 numericals must be used at least once.
1) 3×3=9-3=6
2) 8-6=2
3) 8+8=16
6+2+16=24
PL DO LET ME KNOW THE CORRECT ANS THOUGH I’M SURE MINE IS CORRECT. THANKS. ZAFAR MALIK.

• waqas daad October 1, 2012 at 1:42 AM #

if I use 3 three time, i can solve it in a better way i.e

8*3=24

The numerical was to solve the question by using 8 and 3 two times each and you have used multiple digits multiple times. 😀

8 / ( 3 – 8 / 3 )

Taking LCM
= 8 / ( ( 9 – 8 ) / 3 )
= 8 / ( 1 / 3 )
= 8 * 3
= 24

5. Aaryan August 12, 2012 at 3:45 AM #

We can use each digit only and only once. So The best Answer is: 3*8=24/8= 3*8=24.

• Adeel Nayyer December 9, 2012 at 4:17 PM #

You are using 8 three times.

8 / ( 3 – 8 / 3 )

Taking LCM
= 8 / ( ( 9 – 8 ) / 3 )
= 8 / ( 1 / 3 )
= 8 * 3
= 24

• Adeel Nayyer December 9, 2012 at 4:19 PM #

Using 8 three times. So it is wrong. The correct answer is:

8 / ( 3 – 8 / 3 )

Taking LCM
= 8 / ( ( 9 – 8 ) / 3 )
= 8 / ( 1 / 3 )
= 8 * 3
= 24

6. Aaryan August 12, 2012 at 3:44 AM #

20. Nagarjunb89 December 12, 2011 at 11:42 AM #

Explained:
8 / 3 = 2 + (2/3)
3 – ( 8 / 3) = 3 – ( 2 + (2/3) ) = 1 / 3
8 / ( 3 – ( 8 / 3)) = 8 / (1 / 3) = 8 * 3 = 24 fromNagarjuna

21. the chose one December 12, 2011 at 8:26 AM #

8*8 = 64
64/3 = 21.3
21.3 + 3 = 24.3  i.e  = 24
