This Is Your House!!

A very professional & reputed Architect who was working for a long time in a nice company was about to retire.

He told his employer of his plans to leave the company and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family.

He would definitely miss the work but he needed to retire. The Employer was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor.

The Architect said yes, but this time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.

When the Architect finished his work the employer came to inspect the house. He handed the front-door key to the Architect. “This is your house” he said. “my gift to you.”

The Architect was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.

Moral: It is the same with our lives. Everyday, each action we do, we are actually making our home of afterlife. And one day eventually we are going to live that house.!!!

If the employee accepted request of his employer, he should perform his duty honestly. otherwise he should say sorry to him. A man of this type never deserve a good home.

great employer and a bad employee.

We/i are busy in ammasing material/wealth on this earth which we all are in transit for a period of max 60/80/maybe 100 years visa. We do all kinds of acts and does not matter, at the expense of hurting anyone’s feelings or cheating, not knowing at the end of life we find our massive bunglow is occupied by all except me/us. One thing is guaranteed for those who choose the broad path & have a lavish life, they do not need to do anything, as there is fire awaiting to burn them & they cannot die twice, so the fire is for eternity. Thanks Sara, for being one of the Angels informing us in advance & giving us time to come out of our wicked ways. God Bless You.

    nicest employer ever

  21. Mohamed Wajeeth November 9, 2011 at 11:49 AM #

    Very nice.

Generally we act the same way as this architect, when we are leaving a job, for ex. when we change organizations.

But when we do this, we are spoiling our reputation of all our good work we did till that day.

In general, first impression is good impression. But while leaving organizations, the way you finish, shows your attitude, which will sail a long way, in anyone’s mind.
