Last week I was in Istanbul, Turkey for 10 days with my dear friend Shilpa Kasukurthi. While I was there I had one of the most life changing encounters. While we were sitting in the courtyard of the Blue Mosque
and Hagia Sophia a little boy came over to us and begged for money. At first I dismissed him but as I watched him beg I just couldn’t watch anymore. We decided to buy him some food. When we got to a food place he said he didn’t want it and kept on saying one word. We found someone to translate. He was asking for milk. We went to a market where we found him some milk but he nodded his head no. We were confused. Finally we found another person to translate. He was asking for powdered milk, baby formula. We finally found a large market with baby formula. We started packing him bananas, water and some cookies. He stopped us and said,” no too much money. Only milk.” I asked him about who he was, from the little English he spoke I learnt that he was a Syrian refugee, 13 years old, both his parents died in Syria, and he was now the parent to his 1 year old brother for who he was begging for, and two other younger siblings. He must have seen more in his young age than I will see in my entire life. Yet he was kind, humble and grateful. I will never forget him. He forever will be my hero.
IT’S A FOOD FOR THOUGHT. MAY ALLAH GUIDE US.
We all have Saudi Arabia & other Gulf countries to thank for this sad story. They destroyed many Muslim countries, including Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, and the list goes on and on.
The wealth that Allah gave them, they used it to destroy these countries with their “Wahhabi Cult & Dogma”. All this was done in the name of bringing freedom to these countries. If they don’t have freedom, how can they give it to others?
Look at all these terrorist groups around the world, what do they have in common? They all belong to the same school of thought, that is “Wahhabi Cult & Dogma”. Islam’s image has been tarnished for centuries to come by these terrorist groups and their masters
