2 Tricky Riddles – Solve Them If You Are Smart !

When Polly was seven years old she hammered a nail into the tree in her backyard to mark her height. 3 years later at age 10, Polly returned to see how much higher the nail was. If the tree grew by seven inches each year, how much higher would the nail be?

      The nail remains at same position as the trees grow on top 🙂

    1= 21 Inches higher from ground and age of Polly is not comparable

    2= A + B + C = [AxB = X, A x C = Y, X +Y -B= ? ]
    7 + 2 + 5 = [7×2 = 14, 7 x 5 = 35, 14+35-2=47]

    This Formula work on all of the above … simple 🙂

    2. 143547 [7×2=14 7×5 =35 and (14+35-2= 47)]

      1)Nail will be in same place

      2) 7+2+5

      7*2= 14
      7*5= 35
      14+35 (add the answers)= 49
      49-2 (middle number deducted)= 47
      Answer : 143547

      1- The nail will be at the same hihgt
      2- IF
      5+3+2 = 151022 5x(3+2)-3=22
      9+2+4 = 183652 9x(2+4)-2=52
      8+6+3 = 482466 8x(6+3)-6=66
      5+4+5 = 202541 5x(4+5)-4=41
      THEN
      7+2+5 = 143545
      7*12=14
      7*5=35
      7x(2+5)-2=45

    1. No correlation between height of Polly and Growth of tree. It is not necessary that Polly too grew by the same height as the tree.
