Can You Solve These Tricky Riddles ?

Bilal rode into a village on Friday, stayed there for 4 days and left on Friday. How is it possible ?

On his way to Mount Everest, Rehan met a man with 8 kids. Each kid had 8 baskets. Each basket contained 8 dogs. Each dog had 8 puppies. Puppies, Dogs, Kids and baskets. How many were headed to Mount Everest altogether?

I bought a dress for 37 pounds. Since I had no money I borrowed 20 pounds from my friend Azra and 20 pounds from another friend Iqra. I gave the shopkeeper 20+20 = 40 pounds. He gave me 3 pounds back. Since I could not divide the amount equally between friends and they didn’t know the cost of the dress, I gave them 1 pound each and kept 1 pound to myself.

This means my friends gave me 19 pounds each. So 19+19=38 pounds. Plus I had kept 1 pound with me so 38+1=39 pounds. Azra and Iqra had handed over 40 pounds to me. What happened to the missing pound ?

    1. Name of carrier is Friday.
    2. Only Rehan.
    3. No 40 at all. Borrowed 38, paid 37, balance 1 with him. or 19+19-1=37

  5. kvkarunakaran April 2, 2014 at 2:56 PM #

    1. The name of the carrier is Friday

    1. Motor or horse name is Friday.
    2. Only Rehan is heading to mounting Everest.
    3. You need to think outside the box. The mathematical procedure used is wrong. Adding the 1 pound in your is totally wrong because the 1 pound only came from the 38 pounds from the friends.

    1. Rehan only
    2. 8 each
    3. Since he took 20 from each and return 01 to each. So he has to return 19 to each to complete 20 to each.

    1) What a coincidence of day and name. His horse is named FRIDAY
    2) Rehan and a man
    3) No confusion, he borrowed 38pouds and held it thus;
    Dress 37
    money on hand 1
    Total owed 38

The loan is GBP 40 – 37 panic to shop =
2 Pounds refuunded to lenders + One
    Pound remains on hand.
Each lender provide GBP 20 – One pound
Refunded = GBP 19 balance remain due
    For each loan provider.
