Father’s Gift – Book of God

SportsCarA Young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Quran. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, “With all your money you give me a Quran?” and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.
Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day.
Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search his father’s important papers and saw the still new Quran, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Quran and began to turn the pages.
As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Quran. It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words…PAID IN FULL.

Moral: Book of Almighty is the Guide. If you disrespect is you loose everything. Because we don’t know what important message is hidden in this book untill we read it. Respect your parent’s decisions and choices,  they have vision and experience.

    for Allah atleast..

Good story ,but fathers don’t give Quran to their sons at 18 I think at early age they give them , On the other hand I like your way when you talked about Quran. If we really love people we will give them the best thing not a story or a car , The truth because who loves you doesn’t lie on you , This is for the one who said don’t put religious stuff.

Totally disagree from this fabricated story. Please never ever bring the holy books in between the stories. I totally disagree whatever religion the person is for a second a affection will be there for there religious book.
Fake Story totally disagree and request not to post such stories.

Quran is usually gifted at at an early age and not after graduation. It is a good story but not actual.

  5. Jawaid Anjum Iqbal January 26, 2013 at 5:27 PM #

It is a fabricated story. A son so intelligent and prosperous in Financial terms can not behave in such an Unnatural manner. There must be a Barrier in Communication between father and Son.If he reacted so badly ,it is because of bad training by father for which he rightly suffered. Both of them should unnatural behaviour not expected from a Muslim Culture. An attempt has been made by some Non Muslim to malign Islamic System of Family relations. How could he grow so rich and marry etc.All Fabrication and Unnatural Moral abberations. I dont’ agree with such fabricated Stories with no understanding of Human Values,Culture and such an Annoyance for a Car. No you are making every one a fool.

I tend to agree with Abdalla (25th jan comment). The story can move in certain aspects but is unrealistic when applied to us people. U graduate and because U did not see your dad buying u the car u love, U LEAVE the whole family and vacate and NEVER turn back????? U marry U do not invite your folks (Because of a mere CAR) c’mon, it doesnt make sense.
U dont visit them because YEARS before your Dad did not give u a CAR….. hey this story if we dont go in the details is nice but highly unlikely to happen even in a non-muslim family. Sorry.
Dads do have strange ways of showing their affection to their sons though. I can vow for that.

grt grt grt story.. really loosse quran, forget quran.. there4 v r backwrd.. we v put quran n our hands and practice on its precng then we will successful

I really don’t understand why most American stories by just changing a word to fit our needs become an Arabic story?
changing the Bible word to Quran, doesn’t make it Arabic story
no Moslim will marry and have nice life without his original family in it
no son leaves his father because of a car, other wise we learned nothing from Islam.

3- thank God as He gave you opportunity to realised your mistake before your last breath.
4- parents always thinks of good/better/best for their children.
5- tomorrow you may become father & this “father” can be a role model for you in such situation
6- life gives some opportunities to rectify your mistake never miss them
7- Dont hesitate to accept mistake n to ask forgiveness
8- worldly success in never final(its temporary)
9- anger deviates you from taking right decision.(never take decision when you r angry)
8- serve your parents before punishment comes to you
9- never hesitate to speak out what is going in your mind/express what you r expecting but with full respect and pleasant way (objective should be to understand situation)

        L’importance d’une histoire === le message à faire passer

        1) respecter le livre et les paroles de Dieu
        2) respecter la décision ou choix de vos parents
        3) être su^re que que vos parents vous aiment et ne cherchent que votre bien
        3) maintenir la communication avec vos parents et ne les délaisser pas à leur vieillesse ===sont devenus comme des gamins et vos vous etes forts ===les situations ont changé et les rôles aussi
