You have six friends who want Mangoes but only 5 friends are there in front of you. So you have one Mango left.

Or you have six friends who want Mangoes but one of the friends are your imaginary friend.

It is wording is clear:you give each of your friend a mango, means to go away.

then after distribution your friends a man to go, of course there is still a mango in the basket, and 6 mangos.
