It Happened To Me

Technology Obsessed

Me and my close friend were working on our final semester Engineering Project for the past three weeks. And since our major was in Information Technology , our project was completely done on our laptops. And the complete project documentation including short notes and to-lists were also kept as a soft copy on the laptops. We didn’t had the habit to write anything on paper.

The next day after a busy weekend, I tried to look for an important document but couldn’t find it on my laptop. I told my friend to search his laptop and we tried all methods of searching but to no avail.

Finally when we decided to re-write the document, then suddenly it occurred to me that, I had written the same stuff on a piece paper and we never had a soft copy of it!!

Moral: Obsession with Technology could be dangerous!! 🙂

    I like using the computer too, but being obsessed with it cannot be any good….I love writing as much as I love typing and I think that one is really stupid if they do not write at all but only type!!! And, you should always remember to have a hard-copy back-up!

    But I shud be obsessed wit technology cuz m a software engineer n I hav 2 keep my codes as soft copy only. Otherwise I can’t compile it…..

    This is one of the bad theory we adopt. Even i do the same thing i keep all my important files in laptop. Once my hard disk got corrupted i had felt the same thing which you have faced today..

    That is why God sent the BOOK instead of Softcopy!  God knows best.

    When using technology, we have to utilize it completely. In the era of soft copy, to have backup for all corporate and important data is crucial.

    I have one backup device of 1TB for all my home personal computer, laptop and official computer. Also, I keep some very most important content online storage for save site.

    Really great story. Sometimes we listen that our mobile is ringing. In fact it does not ring at the moment. I experienced many times when I am in bathroom.. Hahaha

    i tried that once….. but i still never write things on paper unless it’s notes from the class! and i know it’s stupid but i still do it :/
