The owner should have had a friendly and paternalistic chat with the boys, even at the cost of sharing a few mangoes,to avoid dilapidation. Even as a threat, the very idea of ‘ poisoning’ is a dangerous instinct.The kids took no time to copy the owner.
If the kids politely ask for free Mango, I am sure that the owner will be gladely give to them instead of stealing. That will teach the kids that stealing is very bad behavior. Also, they will learn to share when they work hard and become rich too. TO BE RICH YOU TO WORK HARD to earn it

people should teach their children manners, cause if they asked politely, I sure the man would give them as much as they want, something like that happened to a friend of mine, people would come and pick mangoes without asking, that’s fine but when they could not reach higher up they would throw stones, and that is dangerous because he has children running around. Eventually he chopped down the tree, to get peace of mind.

If any of the mangoes poisoned, their colours, change, emit bad smell and show the difference from other healthy fruits within two or three days.
The intelligent owner knows the fact. He some or other saved the fruits from the kids. Kids were not much intelligent.
