Life is a Mirror of your Actions – Moral Story

A man and his son were walking in the forest. Suddenly the boy trips and feeling a sharp pain he screams, “Ahhhhh.”
Surprised, he hears a voice coming from the mountain, “Ahhhhh!”

Filled with curiosity, he screams: “Who are you?”, but the only answer he receives is: “Who are you?”
This makes him angry, so he screams: “You are a coward!”, and the voice answers: “You are a coward!”

He looks at his father, asking, “Dad, what is going on?”
“Son,” the man replies, “pay attention!” Then he screams, “I admire you!”
The voice answers: “I admire you!”
The father shouts, “You are wonderful!”, and the voice answers: “You are wonderful!”

The boy is surprised, but still can’t understand what is going on.

Then the father explains, “People call this ‘ECHO’, but truly it is ‘LIFE!’ Life always gives you back what you give out! Life is a mirror of your actions. If you want more love, give more love! If you want more kindness, give more kindness!

If you want understanding and respect, give understanding and respect!

If you want people to be patient and respectful to you, give patience and respect! This rule of nature applies to every aspect of our lives.”

Moral:
Life always gives you back what you give out.
Your life is not a coincidence,
but a mirror of your own doings.

From personal experience I noted that sometimes with some people the more you give the more you love the more you care and the more those people will treat you like a door mat!
I concluded that we should only give, care and love for Allah sake. Expect nothing in return from people cos the reward is all with our Creator

    • Teo January 20, 2013 at 1:24 PM #

You are right that we should give, obey, care and love for ALLAH sake but also Allah wants us to be respectful and kindness to each other and some people worth.

This is true Islam – not the violence where innocent people are blowing up themselves in Mosques and other public places!

We must have a positive and helpful outlook for all.

    • SyrianGirl February 28, 2012 at 4:38 AM #

You sound like a Nice person. but also being tht straight forward to strangers is also another lesson we should learn
      Am I correct?

      • Dr. Md. Golam Mostafa June 5, 2012 at 10:50 AM #

Dear Ms. SyrianGirl: Your first statement is absolutely correct that one should be nice in any way. Your second statement “Straight Forward” has many connotations. In general, everybody should be straight forward in their speech, behavior, gesture and posture to every person known or strangers. It should not make any differences.

We should look carefully the moral of the story that says, if any body wants anything good from any person, s/he should first to provide the same. You respect people, people will respect you; you love people, people will love you. You behave well with your colleagues, they will behave well with you. This could be comparable to Echo in the mountain.

Best regards, Dr. M G Mostafa
